Final Draft

Rationale

Color

For the colors, I was able to incorporate the school logo colors into the overall pamphlet. The gold captures the fun side of school and showcases the vibe that the school wants to give off. Especially since this was my client's first request, I think that making each side pop helps to add life to the brochure and appeals to the younger generation.

Unity

This pamphlet shows unity through the colors and overall design. Each club has the exact same typeface, color, and size to help them all look the same. All of the sides are the same color and the color gold keeps the project unified throughout. If it were not for the consistency, this pamphlet would be confusing and hard to read.

Space

Within this project, I tried to use up as much space as I possibly can without making it too busy. I utilized the negative space by adding the "get involved" section and the graphic on the front cover. The cover makes use of the white space perfectly with the gradient background and the image. I thought of space a lot throughout the project.

Size/ Scale

The size of the different fonts really help in emphasis here. I made the titles the largest, with the sponsor second largest, and the descriptions the smallest. This helps to differentiate between the important parts and makes the titles stand out, including the bolding. The large logo emphasizes its importance to the school.

Final thoughts

Overall, I am very pleased with this final draft. I feel as though it encapsulates everything that my client asked for and that my peers and professor critiqued me about. I changed everything that was given to me in the feedback from the draft and came out with a unique brochure that meets the demands of my target audience.

Client Response

Laura was very pleased with the final product of the brochure. She liked what I did with the light gold for the main parts and she said the spacing was much better. She claimed that everything she asked for was satisfied and that the final product is a major upgrade from the previous model that they had.
